Job summary

Spivey Services in Virginia is seeking a Traffic Control Assistant to help manage safe traffic flow around construction zones and events. You will set up and remove traffic control devices, direct vehicles and pedestrians, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and able to work in varying weather conditions while prioritizing public and crew safety. We offer weekly pay, paid training and ATSSA certifications, night differential and overtime

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Must have “0 or Plus” DMV Driving Points along with a valid Virginia Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Truck driver experience with large trucks (18'–24') Non-CDL.

Position Overview

The Traffic Control Assistant supports safe and efficient traffic flow around construction zones, public events, or road maintenance sites. This role involves setting up and removing traffic control devices, directing vehicles and pedestrians, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and able to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on public and crew safety.
