Job summary

PSG Traffic Services is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to ensure safe traffic flow around construction zones and incidents. You will protect workers, drivers, and pedestrians by following established safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Be a team player and work well under supervision.
• Understand safe traffic control practices and stay calm under pressure.
• Receive and communicate instructions clearly and courteously.
• Maintain attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
• Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones per regulations.
• Communicate with drivers to guide and ensure safe traffic flow.
• Monitor traffic/event activity to anticipate safety hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors using hand signals, radios, or other devices.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Assist with loading/unloading traffic control equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
