What you'll be challenged to do:
Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our growing Kansas City, MO office, located in the heart of downtown. This position could also be located at any of the following Gannett Fleming TranSystems offices: Wichita, KS, Omaha, NE; Denver, CO; St. Louis, MO; Tulsa, OK; or Oklahoma City, OK. This person will provide transportation engineering services on highway, bridge and rail projects throughout the country. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
We are looking for a candidate to join our team who is excited to work on a variety of complex projects with colleagues who enjoy all aspects of design. The Highway & Traffic Team is currently involved in safety and design alternative analysis, corridor reconstruction projects, interchange and intersection improvements, bridge preservation projects and bridge replacement projects.
Our success has been built on teamwork with our colleagues in highway, bridge, stormwater, and utility design. We strive for innovation and ingenuity in our designs so we can provide the best outcome for all transportation users. Proven ability to work in a team environment and share of experience and expertise with teammates is ideal. A successful candidate should be able to plan, conduct and coordinate traffic engineering work, prepare reports, plans and specs for design projects, and monitor multiple project schedules and budgets.
