Job summary

Garver is seeking a Traffic Analysis Engineer in Houston, TX to join our growing transportation planning team. The role focuses on traffic and safety studies, simulations, and design of access plans for DOT and municipal projects.

You will work under a Senior Project Manager, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and have opportunities for growth and professional development. Candidates should have ABET-accredited degree, 4–8 years of relevant experience, and PE licensure feasibility within

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
4–8 years of experience with traffic-specific projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Licensed or ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license within 6 months of hire.
Working knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual.
Proficiency in capacity analysis, traffic projections, and safety analysis (including HSM).
Experience with traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, Synchro, HCS).
Experience analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Perform traffic and safety studies.
Perform traffic simulation and level of service analysis.
Develop access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignments.
Develop traffic signal timing plans.
Prepare summary documentation and reports.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate concepts to clients.
