Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Asset Management Trading Technology organization to design, build, and evolve market-leading trading platforms. You will work with Traders to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions and deploy daily to production, embracing secure coding practices and AI-assisted tooling.

You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, mentor teammates, and help advance resilient, observable systems across asset classes.

Qualifications

• Formal training in software engineering with 3+ years hands-on experience.
• Experience designing and building end-to-end software systems.
• Strong Java or Kotlin expertise and OO design.
• Experience with messaging/streaming tech like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Ability to work with Traders and Quants.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, security, and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Support critical applications in production and resolve user issues.
• Design and engineer scalable trading systems across asset classes.
• Collaborate with Traders to deliver solutions.
• Develop core Java applications for trading platforms.
• Architect and implement messaging/streaming tech (Kafka, AMPS, RabbitMQ).
• Lead code reviews and mentor team members.
• Participate in the full SDLC from design to production.
• Deploy code to production daily with confidence.
