Job summary

AXQ Capital seeks a sharp Production Engineer to join our New York team and support global algorithmic trading operations. You will monitor live trading, oversee algorithmic execution, and build tools for reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include incident response, post-trade processing, and deployment of new strategies. Ideal candidates have strong Python, Linux, and distributed-systems skills, with a passion for financial markets and rigorous problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field.
• Strong Python programming and building production tools.
• Familiarity with Linux, databases, networking, concurrency, or distributed systems.
• Interest in financial markets and risk management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live trading, portfolio risk, and compliance with trading limits.
• Oversee algorithmic execution, contract rolls, hedging, and other trading activities.
• Guide systems through pre-market checks, real-time trading, and post-market processing.
• Investigate outages and trading anomalies; coordinate with brokers and exchanges.
• Develop monitoring, dashboards, automation, and operational tools.
• Support post-trade reconciliation and record-keeping.
• Participate in incident reviews and improve runbooks.
