Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. offers a Trading System Development Intern position at our New York office (11 Wall Street). You’ll contribute to development and testing of components for the NYSE Pillar trading system in a fast-paced, low-latency environment.

You’ll work with C++ in a Linux setting, gain exposure to market data, order handling, and test automation, and participate in weekly sessions with industry leaders while building valuable professional connections.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/CE and advancing to junior year.
• Strong C++ fundamentals with object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms.
• Familiarity with Linux and common development tools like Git and debugging.
• Analytical mindset, strong communication, and ability to document findings clearly.
• Interest in financial markets or trading tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development and testing of exchange platform components in a low-latency C++ environment.
• Contribute to test automation; write and run unit/integration/conformance tests.
• Analyze system behavior and performance data; summarize findings for the team.
