Job summary

Gelber Group LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Software Engineer to join a team supporting proprietary trading applications used by human and algorithmic traders. You will work closely with traders, quants, and engineers to design and maintain end-to-end systems across backend and frontend components.

The role offers a path to growth in a fast-paced trading environment with strong emphasis on technical excellence and collaboration. Remote options within the United States are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 3+ years of work experience in C#, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of object oriented programming.
• Excellent communication to translate requirements into code.
• Ability to work with others in a remote environment.
• Interest in finance preferred; knowledge of options, volatility, SQL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with engineers, traders, and quants to architect, design, develop, deploy, and support our proprietary trading applications and tools
• Develop and extend infrastructure in C# and related systems for human and algorithmic traders
• Become expert in the full trading pipeline and software stack, including backend and frontend
• Provide real-time support and bug fixes for live trading applications
