Job summary

Aptos is seeking a Software Engineer to build experimental trading products for the Aptos blockchain. You will design, implement, and ship features in a small, autonomous team, with opportunities to lead others as the team scales.

The role sits in our Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY office, with a fast-paced, product-focused environment and a strong emphasis on building from scratch and learning from usage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping products.
• Strong experience building products in languages such as Typescript or something similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Background in payments, DeFi, or TradFi (a plus).
• Experience with blockchain (a plus).
• Web3 experience or familiarity (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Working fast to design, build, and experiment with trading products for the Aptos blockchain.
• Developing scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines to support trading data access.
• Building and maintaining infrastructure for trading.
• Writing clean, performant, well-tested, and production-ready code.
• Collaborating closely with protocol engineers, infrastructure teams, and product engineers.
