Job summary

Aptos Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build core backend infrastructure for the Aptos blockchain ecosystem. You will design scalable APIs, indexers, and node tooling used by thousands of developers, with opportunities to lead as the team grows.

You will join a lean, autonomous team on distributed systems problems, focusing on robust, scalable code in a fast-paced environment. Roles are based in Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping scalable backend systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems and API design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and optimize backend services and platform infrastructure for Aptos blockchain.
• Develop scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines for blockchain data access.
• Maintain infrastructure for node operations, monitoring, and observability.
• Create and maintain SDKs, libraries, and developer tools.
• Write clean, well-tested production code and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
