Job summary

Virtu Financial in New York seeks a Trading Operations Specialist to support multiple trading desks. You will manage the clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades, interact with traders, finance, compliance, brokers and clients, and help ensure timely settlement and accurate records.

This is an early-career role with opportunities to grow in trading operations and data analysis; SQL is required and Python is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years in a trade support role at a financial institution
• Experience in middle/back office trading operations
• SQL is required; Python is a plus
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities
• Ability to design workable solutions from complex programs

Responsibilities

• Monitoring regulatory processes and pre-market activities
• Managing trade clearance, settlement and reconciliation
• Communicating with counter parties and clients
• Monitoring intra-trading day processes to ensure smooth operation
• Building relationships with third party providers
