Job summary

Evergreen Gavekal, a rapidly growing regional wealth manager with offices in Bellevue, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and Napa, seeks a Portfolio Operations Associate to join the trading team. The role executes trades, monitors allocations, and administers compliance across client portfolios, serving as back-up trader under the Head Trader while ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, autonomous, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and collaborate across departments.
• Minimum 2 years in trading operations, portfolio administration, compliance, or similar at an investment firm/B/D/RIA.
• High integrity and responsibility with client accounts and sensitive information.
• Working knowledge of trade execution, account restrictions, and investment compliance concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and trading/PM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as back-up trader, executing and overseeing trades across custodians and platforms.
• Review and reconcile account allocations after trades for accuracy across client accounts.
• Monitor and document client-specific investment restrictions; escalate exceptions as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trade compliance checks and maintain related records.
• Support daily trade reconciliation and resolve trade breaks with custodians.
• Assist in maintenance and enhancement of trading systems, workflows, and databases.
• Collaborate with investment team and Compliance to support portfolio construction and rebalancing.
• Prepare and maintain records of trading activity, restrictions, and allocations for internal/regulatory review.
• Assist with ad hoc trading ops/compliance projects and process improvements.
• Utilize AI to support investment research initiatives.
