Job summary

JERA Global Markets seeks an experienced IT Operations desktop support professional to join its North American Gas Trading business in Houston. You will support end‑users globally, handle incidents, and help drive cloud and digital transformation across front, middle and back office.

The role focuses on resolving Windows/AD issues, provisioning via SCCM/Intune, and collaborating across IT to enable trading desk performance. Hybrid collaboration and continuous improvement are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience delivering desktop and end‑user support within a complex trading environment.
Demonstrable knowledge of networking, infrastructure, and applications from a desktop support perspective.
Experience diagnosing and remediating system issues in a Windows Server and Windows 11 environment.
Experience with device provisioning and application delivery using SCCM and/or Intune.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Security/Anti‑Virus, Networking, Microsoft Office, Email/Exchange, VDI, Mobile Device Management, Video Conferencing, and Trader Telephony.
Knowledge of ITIL framework, certification an advantage.
Experience with desk moves and ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy etc.).
Experience administering Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the end‑user computing estate and a diverse global user base, including on‑site and remote employees.
Take ownership and be a central point of contact for desktop support issues, ensuring professional communication.
Diagnose and resolve system issues across internally developed and vendor applications in support of the trading business.
Follow‑up on fixes for escalated issues.
On‑boarding and off‑boarding for starters, movers, and leavers.
Define and implement team processes with up‑to‑date documentation in Confluence.
Record and monitor incidents and service requests in Jira with timely feedback.
Maintain knowledge of systems to troubleshoot a wide range of issues.
Collaborate with teams to plan, test, and deliver enhancements.
Contribute to processes and standards across desktop infrastructure and security domains.
Operate in a change‑controlled environment with releases.
Monitor estate for availability, capacity, and performance.
Engage in global projects and controls activities for growth and transformation.
Share knowledge and mentor peers as required.
Occasional after‑hours work for incidents or maintenance.
