Clarion Events North America is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager for its Gift & Souvenir Portfolio with experience in audience development and managing comprehensive marketing campaigns. The candidate should possess a strong readiness to learn and impact the events they support. Each event will require unique strategies, goals, and customer-focused approaches – we are looking for an individual who can identify trends and implement best practices.

This role involves overseeing end-to-end marketing journeys – collaborating closely with marketing and event leadership to identify, grow, and engage target audiences; developing and reporting on marketing plans; utilizing data and customer insights to make informed adjustments and improvements; and partnering with all teams, partners, and customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The position demands a highly organized project manager capable of prioritizing tasks and managing the marketing of multiple events simultaneously.

This position will report to the Director of Marketing and support the management and daily execution alongside the brand and digital marketing coordinators. Effective partnership and alignment within the team are critical to the success of campaigns and overall team performance.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Support the end-to-end marketing process, from concept to execution to completion by partnering with the Director of Marketing to develop and deliver on all marketing strategies across your assigned event(s). Delivery and execution are paramount to the manager’s role
  • Collaborate with the marketing coordinators to implement all marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, drafting and deploying emails and social media posts; managing website updates, registration system, and database segmentation; and ongoing tracking, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong focus on audience development – building the target audience, nurturing both attendee and exhibitor leads
  • Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging for each event across all marketing materials
  • Effective ability to contribute compelling copy leveraging AI and other tools to support copywriting and messaging development.
  • Analyze marketing data to generate insights for strategy optimization, drive improvements, and develop recommended strategies and tactics supported by analytics across multi-channel campaigns
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social and digital strategies and execute direct programs aimed at enhancing conversion rates, improving social media reputation, and increasing brand recognition
  • Assist in gathering and assessing customer research, market conditions, and competitor data to modify the marketing plan as required
  • Collaborate and work closely with sales, ops, and exhibitor services teams.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to learn and manage marketing budgets across events. Help with providing informed recommendations that support effective resource allocation and enhance ROI, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing; implement innovative solutions to enhance campaign effectiveness
  • With the guidance of marketing and brand leadership, develop a strategic mindset, encompassing the creation of plans, fostering customer relationships, and managing processes through effective execution

The skills & experience you'll need:

We’re looking for a curious, creative thinker that challenges the status quo with the ability to identify new opportunities to enhance event and brand marketing efforts.

  • 3 – 5+ years marketing experience
  • Adaptability and willingness to experiment
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset—agility to adapt quickly to changes, real-time data, and new opportunities
  • Proficiency in utilizing marketing analytics to measure campaign success and inform strategic decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner
  • Experience with events and/or trade shows a bonus
  • Experience with the following systems – specific platforms not required for the role but use of these types of systems and appetite to learn new important. Project management, marketing automation, customer data platform, lite-design use (Canva).
  • Ability to travel to multiple events held in the fall
