About this position
The overall function of this position is to install, repair and maintain traffic signal equipment and other electrical components located throughout District 61. This position is located in District 61/Unit 751/East Baton Rouge Parish of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the Electronic Technician Supervisor. This work includes making programming changes to signal controllers and electrical repairs to various signal components.
A valid Louisiana Class “D” Chauffeurs License is required upon appointment.
No experience or training is required.

Career Progression: This position offers advancement from Trades Apprentice to Electrician, and ultimately Electrician Specialist, based on experience and performance.
