Job summary

Vident Asset Management seeks an experienced Trader to execute investments and support portfolio managers in achieving objectives. Expertise in derivatives trading, especially options, is preferred and you will monitor markets and optimize trading processes.

You will generate reports, manage risk, and collaborate with ETF market makers while supporting new business initiatives and urgent tasks from management. A strong background in Python and Excel is required for analysis and automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of practical trading or portfolio management experience.
• Experience with domestic and international trade settlement and reconciliation.
• Options trading experience desirable.
• Fixed income trading experience desirable.
• Excellent Excel knowledge; strong Python programming.
• Attention to detail; ability to handle confidential data.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, AIM, Orion or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and high-integrity Trader to join Vident Asset Management (Vident). As a Trader,

you will play a crucial role in executing investment transactions and supporting portfolio managers in achieving

their investment objectives. Vident manages portfolios across asset classes, but expertise in trading derivatives,

including options, will be preferred. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations,

monitor market trends, and identify opportunities for optimizing trading processes. Your responsibilities will

include trade monitoring, engagement with ETF market makers, producing reports, mitigating trade risk,

supporting new business initiatives, and addressing any assigned tasks by your manager. With your expertise in

trading and market analysis, you will contribute to the overall success of the investment team.

Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of trading and how that relates to portfolio management and investment operations, with 4 or more years of practical experience
• Experience with domestic and international trade settlement and reconciliation processes
• Experience trading or managing portfolios with options is desirable
• Fixed income trading experience is desirable
• Excellent Excel knowledge and strong programming skills, including Python
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to discreetly handle confidential data
• Strong organizational skills and proactive planning, with an ability to respond to urgent requests
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
• Registered Investment Advisor and ETF experience
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, AIM, Orion or other portfolio management systems
