Job summary

Vident Asset Management, LLC in the greater Atlanta area is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to support ETF and mutual fund management, with emphasis on research, portfolio construction, trade review, risk management, and performance monitoring. You’ll collaborate with trading and portfolio teams locally and virtually.

The ideal candidate holds a Finance degree, 2+ years in investment management, and is pursuing CFA charter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in the investment management field or related academic study.
• Pursuing CFA Charter or holder of CFA charter.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Expert Microsoft Excel user; proficiency in portfolio and risk analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support ETF and mutual fund management including product research, implementation, and portfolio construction.
• Perform trade review, risk management, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with trading and portfolio management teams locally and virtually.
• Assist with client reporting and regular internal reporting.

Vident Asset Management, LLC is excited to expand our team with a Portfolio Analyst position. This person would join our team locally in the greater Atlanta area. This position will work closely with our dynamic trading and portfolio management teams both locally and virtually.

What you’ll do:

The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for managing and supporting ETF and mutual fund management. The Portfolio Analyst supports all investment related aspects of fund products including product research, implementation, portfolio construction, trade review, risk management, and performance monitor. The successful candidate will be well versed in trade workflow and portfolio management. The position requires attention to detail and curiosity, seeking to understand and clarify fund investment objectives. The position requires close collaboration and teamwork in a small team setting and across the organization.

• Support the management of fund portfolios including account set up, daily reconciliation, ETF creation and redemption, portfolio management, custom inkind redemption, and portfolio trading.
• Understand index data workflow and calculation
• Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions
• Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions
• Support client requests ranging from sample portfolio review to client reporting
• Perform regular reporting for internal and client use
• Work with the fund operation team to help with reconciliation breaks.
• Participate in presentations and conference calls
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Who you are:

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar
• You have 2+ years of experience in the investment management field or related academic study
• You possess or are working to obtain your CFA Charter
• Hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment

• Able to prioritize and optimize own workload as a function of unexpected events and existing parallel/serial workflows

• Experience with Bloomberg Port

• Working knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, tax optimization and portfolio risk analytics
• Experience with portfolio optimizers and factor risk models
• Team player with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
