Crowell & Moring LLP seeks a highly qualified professional track/staff trademark associate to join its Advertising & Brand Protection practice group in Washington, D.C., New York, or Chicago. This is a full-time, professional (non-promotion) track attorney position.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of domestic and international trademark prosecution experience, with ten+ years preferred, and be a member of the state bar.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of domestic and international trademark prosecution experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience reviewing trademark search reports and preparing clearance opinions.
• Experience monitoring watch notices and providing written recommendations.
• Experience with trademark enforcement, including cease-and-desist letters and TTAB actions.
• Experience managing international trademark matters and coordinating with foreign practitioners.
• Experience with licensing and due diligence related to trademarks.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and prosecute trademark filings and responses in US and international offices.
• Review search reports and draft clear, concise trademark clearance opinions.
• Monitor trademark watch notices and issue written recommendations when warranted.
• Prepare cease-and-desist letters and handle oppositions or cancellations before TTAB.
• Coordinate with foreign practitioners on international trademark matters.
• Contribute to licensing and due diligence projects as part of transactional work.

• Experience managing international trademark matters and communicating with foreign trademark practitioners
• Experience with trademark licensing, and due diligence projects
• Have excellent academic and professional credentials as well as highly developed writing, analytical, and communication skills

Candidates must be a member of the state bar for the office to which they are applying or otherwise eligible for admission by waiver. All candidates should have excellent academic credentials as well as highly developed organizational, writing and analytical skills.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance to applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $240,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
