Job summary

Crowell & Moring LLP seeks a highly qualified professional-track/staff trademark associate to join its Advertising & Brand Protection practice in Washington, D.C., New York, or Chicago. This is a full-time, professional (non-promotion) track attorney position.

Candidates must have extensive domestic and international trademark prosecution experience and excellent writing and analytical skills. The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, with discretionary bonus

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of domestic and international trademark prosecution experience (10+ years preferred).
• Experience reviewing trademark search reports and preparing clearance opinions.
• Experience monitoring watch notices and providing written recommendations.
• Experience with enforcement including cease-and-desist letters and TTAB actions.
• Experience managing international trademark matters and communicating with foreign practitioners.
• Experience with licensing and due diligence projects.
• Strong credentials, writing, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution.
• Review search reports and draft clearance opinions.
• Monitor trademark watches and draft recommendations.
• Prepare cease-and-desist letters and manage oppositions before TTAB.
• Coordinate with foreign practitioners on international filings.
• Assist with licensing and due diligence projects.
