You will assist attorneys with searches, filings, and due diligence while upholding the firm’s high standards of confidentiality and client service. We’re looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Trademark Paralegal Assistant to join our Trademark, Copyright, Internet & Advertising team and help deliver an exceptional employee experience. In this role, you will support attorneys in the clearance and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark and copyright matters, including searches, enforcement, and due diligence. As a member of the firm’s professional support staff team, you will also help promote and maintain the goodwill and reputation of the firm while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

What You’ll Do

• Update and maintain electronic records.
• Draft reporting correspondence under supervision.
• Develop knowledge of USPTO rules and procedures as they relate to trademark prosecution.
• Assist with the preparation of U.S. trademark prosecution documents for attorney review and comment.
• Participate in training in U.S. and international trademark and copyright issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely daily time entries in accordance with the firm’s time-entry protocols, policies, and best practices.
• Communicate proactively with attorneys, clients, and team members regarding assignments, deadlines, and status updates.

What You’ll Bring

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, work and communicate effectively under pressure, and remain flexible in assisting the team with accelerated client schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to trademark and copyright prosecution or trademark litigation and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is preferred but not required.

Locations & Compensation

This position may be filled in the following locations. The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

• Seattle compensation range: $44,460 - $62,670 annually
• Denver compensation range: $42,150 - $59,410 annually
