Job summary
The HQ USAF and Support Elements seeks a licensed attorney to provide strategic legal advice in trademark law, enforcement, and licensing for Air Force trademarks. You will draft agreements related to marketing and content licensing, and coordinate enforcement actions including TTAB proceedings.
You will represent the Office of the General Counsel in discussions with DoD senior leaders and external partners, ensuring Air Force trademark interests are protected across missions and operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of ABA-accredited law school.
- Currently licensed as an attorney in active status and in good standing.
- Maintain bar membership in at least one jurisdiction during employment.
Responsibilities
- Handle trademark law matters focusing on prosecution, licensing, and branding for Air Force trademarks.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements including marketing, merchandising, and content licensing.
- Assess and develop strategies for cease-and-desist letters, domain/name proceedings, takedowns, TTAB proceedings.
- Serve as a trademark SME for pre-litigation enforcement matters for the Department of the Air Force.
- Represent the Office of the General Counsel in conferences with senior DoD and other agencies and private industry.
