Responsibilities

• Support daily Trade Services Desk operations and processing.
• Review and validate Letters of Credit and related trade documents for completeness.
• Create or amend party records in internal trade systems from customer setup forms.
• Organize and maintain required trade documentation and records.
• Enter and release processing requirements per procedures.
• Assist with movement of goods and import/export documentation.
• Coordinate with bank-to-bank and customer documentation.
• Resolve issues with internal partners on documentation or processing.
• Manage high-volume email communication and follow-up with teams.
• Communicate with domestic and international teams as needed.
• Maintain records in SharePoint and other systems.
• Follow established banking, operational, and documentation procedures.

A leading financial services organization is seeking a detail-oriented Trade Services Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day activities of its Trade Services Desk. This contractor will assist with customer setup, trade documentation, Letters of Credit, and trade processing while ensuring records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained within internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily Trade Services Desk operations and trade processing activities.
• Review and validate Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit, guarantees, and supporting trade documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Receive customer setup forms and create or amend party records within internal trade systems.
• Gather, organize, and maintain required trade documentation.
• Ensure complete and accurate records are entered into the system of record.
• Input and release trade processing requirements according to established procedures.
• Support documentation associated with the movement and import/export of goods.
• Work with bank-to-bank and customer trade documentation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve documentation or processing issues.
• Manage a high volume of email communication and follow-up with internal partners.
• Communicate with domestic and international teams as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within SharePoint and other internal systems.
• Follow established banking, operational, and documentation procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, guarantees, or trade finance documentation.
• Understanding of how to review Letters of Credit and supporting documents for authenticity, completeness, and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of international trade, importing/exporting goods, logistics, and bank-to-bank documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with documentation-heavy processes.
• Strong written communication skills and comfort managing significant email correspondence.
• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
