Job summary

CAB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Trade Program Analyst to evaluate and optimize trade programs, analyze data, and support pricing and promotions. You will maintain the TPM software, enter promotional plans, and ensure alignment with sales budgets and spending parameters.

The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to drive sales objectives, profitability, and market share while ensuring compliance with trade regulations and accurate forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in International Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in trade analysis, program evaluation, or a related role.
  • Experience with SAP and Trade Program Management software(s).
  • Basic understanding of product distribution in the CPG industry.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the TPM system and track trade program data.
  • Load plan-level sales targets and trade rates.
  • Load National Promotion Calendars and manage inputs.
  • Configure planning mode changes and manage access/permissions.
  • Provide training and support for TPM users and sales teams.
  • Review and approve customer trade promotions for accuracy.
  • Support Revenue Operations initiatives related to data, systems, and processes.

Position Summary

The Trade Program Analyst evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of trade-related programs, operations, and management functions. This role includes conducting assessments, analyzing trade data, supporting policy development, and ensuring compliance with trade regulations. The analyst works with cross‑functional teams to enhance trade performance and align strategies with organizational goals. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for maintaining the trade promotion management (TPM) software, by entering promotional plans as provided by the sales management team in a timely manner, and by monitoring planning to ensure alignment with spending parameters and the sales budget is also key. The role involves analyzing complex data sets to deliver insights and recommendations that support product pricing and promotions, driving the achievement of sales and brand objectives.

Principal Duties
  • Administer the company’s trade program management system and utilize the trade program management software to track and analyze trade program data
  • Manage TPM system inputs
  • Load plan-level sales targets and trade rates
  • Load National Promotion Calendars
  • Manage system reconfigurations as use cases change
  • Configure planning mode changes
  • Manage access requests and role permissions
  • Provide functional and technical support and guidance, to the sales team and other users, on the TPM software
  • Review and approve customer trade promotions, responsible for proofing deals, communications, and advertising vehicles for accuracy of assigned categories
  • Support development of Revenue Operations enablers (data, system, process, and capabilities) that optimize the path for supporting revenue growth across all routes to market and lines of business
  • Modify existing hierarchy to align with planning structures, review and socialize updated hierarchy
  • Review and implement strategic pricing initiatives to support profitability, consumer engagement, and increased market share
  • Support the development of the annual bottoms up sales forecast and monthly forecast update with accounting and finance teams to ensure an accurate volume and net revenue plan by product group and customer for region
  • Work with internal sales teams to support post‑promotion analysis for future plan optimization and learnings
  • Maintain records of all promotions to support accurate cost accruals and timely clearance of customer bill‑backs and deductions
  • Prepare reports relating to trade promotion results, including planning, financial modeling, and post‑promotion effectiveness based on financial and volume benchmarks
  • Assist customer level annual planning and new distribution/slotting management projections for the annual operating plan
  • Actively participate in the development of new solutions, moving the organization forward in capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the data entry and management processes within TPM
  • Stay updated on TPM system updates and best practices and provide training to team members as necessary.
  • Perform special projects, including revenue and expense analysis, and respond to related technical inquiries, as requested by the finance and other departments
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities; analytical and data driven – ability to garner insights from large amounts of data, ability to distil, identify takeaways, and summarize data, to inform pricing decisions and revenue maximization strategies
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and intellectually nimble to learn new systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of financial operations

Other Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Must be fluent in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of files or materials up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to participate in virtual or in‑person meetings across time zones.
  • May require occasional standing or walking during presentations or site visits.
