Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Electrician Trade Professional for our Pullman, WA site. You will own relationships with foremen and external trades, plan and manage projects, and maintain installation equipment and supplies.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and teamwork within our employee-owned company. A strong communication skill set and physical readiness complete the profile.

Qualifications

• Hold an active Electrical Journeyman license for Washington.
• Able to obtain Idaho Journeyman license within 6 months of hire.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Business team as an Electrician Trade Professional in Pullman, WA.

A typical day as a Trade Professional might include:

• Owning the relationships with assigned foreman and/or outside trade professionals to efficiently complete projects and work orders.
• Planning and managing projects with accurate records while also operating equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of building systems.
• Managing equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
• Responding to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Following and promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.

This job might be for you if:

• Hold an active Electrical Journeyman’s license for the state of Washington
• Are able to obtain an Idaho Electrical Journeyman's license within 6 months of hire date
• Are skilled at initiating, building and maintaining healthy relationships with co-workers while keeping the overall goals of the company in mind.
• Are able to read, understand, follow, and strictly enforce safety procedures.
• Are able to work various shifts, hours, and days depending on workload.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Have the ability to lift and maneuver 40 pounds frequently, pull weight from high/low shelves, safely ascend and descend ladders, reach, bend, grip, twist, and stand for at least 8 hours

Pay Range Data: $33.00 - $50.00 an hour

We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
