Job summary

Keel in Alma, MI is seeking a Trade Helper – Part Marker to support production by marking and labeling parts in accordance with work orders and blueprints. You will assist skilled trades, keep work areas organized, and help ensure accurate part identification.

Responsibilities

  • Mark, tag, and label parts according to work orders, drawings, or specifications.
  • Use markers, stamps, etching tools, or labels to apply identification numbers, codes, or symbols.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and markings for accuracy before and after marking.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople by preparing parts and materials for fabrication or production.
  • Read and follow basic blueprints, shop drawings, or instructions.
  • Maintain organization of marked and unmarked parts to prevent mix-ups.
  • Inspect parts for defects or damage prior to marking and report issues to supervisors.
  • Keep marking tools, workstations, and storage areas clean and in safe working condition.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards at all times.Perform other related duties as assigned

Your Mission

The Trade Helper – Part Marker assists production by accurately marking and labeling parts according to instructions, supporting skilled trades, and maintaining organized, safe work areas.
