Job summary

Monster Energy is seeking a Trade Development Manager in the United States to drive growth through strategic and tactical sales and distribution plans. You will own distributor performance and deliver results via sharp execution, strong negotiation, and impactful fieldwork to ensure Monster leads the market.

You will train distributor sales teams, implement national and regional account strategies, and work with National Sales and Regional Account teams to maximize market share and profitability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail, wholesaler or distributor sales environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with distributors and customers in the assigned territory; market execution in Traditional Trade and Modern Trade.
  • Maximize sales and distribution through local and national programs.
  • Train distributor/bottler sales forces to engage with Monster brand objectives.
  • Execute national and regional account strategies to hit sales, profit and market-share goals.
  • Monitor retailer activity to optimize volume and profitability.
  • Develop and maximize partnerships to improve performance and regional results.
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributors/bottlers to track outcomes.
  • Collaborate with National Sales and Regional Account teams to communicate customer programs.

A day in the life:

As the Trade Development Manager, you’ll fuel the Monster brand’s growth by driving strategic and tactical sales and distribution plans, owning distributor and bottler performance within your Coca‑Cola Operating Unit territory, and delivering results through sharp execution, strong negotiation, impactful fieldwork, and powerhouse relationship‑building ensuring Monster shows up in the market bold, relentless, and winning. The impact you’ll make:
  • Manage relationships with the distributors and some customers in the assigned territory. Responsible for market execution in the territory in Traditional Trade and Modern Trade.
  • Maximize the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the establishment and appropriate execution of local and national sales programs.
  • Train and coach the distributor/ bottlers sales force to engage them with the Monster brand and objectives.
  • Ensure the execution of national and regional account strategies for all company products and achieve sales, profit and market share objectives for all national and regional accounts and/or programs.
  • Monitor market/retailer activity to develop the most cost-effective strategies in order to drive volume and profitability through increased penetration and promotion.
  • Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships to drive improved performance. Develop and use objective tools, information and feedback in order to establish region and area performance goals and results.
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributors/Bottlers in order to track, monitor and adjust efforts and produce desired outcomes in all key business segments.
  • Work closely with National Sales and Regional Account Management Teams to understand and communicate customer programs and activities that impact their respective market.
Whoyou are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Administration or related field
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in sales
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in retail, wholesaler or distributor sales environment
  • Computer Skills Desired: Advance user of Microsoft Office

Monster Energy provides competitive total compensation. The estimated annual salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Pay Range

$40,000 - $43,000 USD
