Job summary

Monster Energy is seeking a Trade Development Manager to drive strategic and tactical sales plans. You will own distributor performance within your Coca‑Cola OU territory and deliver results through sharp execution, negotiation, and powerhouse relationship‑building to ensure Monster shows up bold and winning in market.

You will manage distributor and customer relationships, maximize product distribution, train distributors, and align with national and regional accounts to hit sales and market

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales.
  • 1–3 years of experience in retail, wholesaler or distributor sales environment.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with distributors and some customers in the assigned territory and ensure market execution in Traditional Trade and Modern Trade.
  • Maximize sale and distribution of all company products through local and national sales programs.
  • Train and coach distributor/bottlers sales force to engage them with the Monster brand and objectives.
  • Ensure execution of national and regional account strategies to achieve sales, profit and market share objectives.
  • Monitor market/retailer activity to drive volume and profitability through penetration and promotions.
  • Develop and maximize partnerships to drive improved performance with objective tools and feedback.
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributors/bottlers to track progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with National Sales and Regional Account teams to communicate customer programs.

A day in the life:

As the Trade Development Manager, you’ll fuel the Monster brand’s growth by driving strategic and tactical sales and distribution plans, owning distributor and bottler performance within your Coca‑Cola Operating Unit territory, and delivering results through sharp execution, strong negotiation, impactful fieldwork, and powerhouse relationship‑building ensuring Monster shows up in the market bold, relentless, and winning. You’re the force that ensures Monster doesn’t just show up in the market it shows up loud, leads the category, and wins

The impact you’ll make:
  • Manage relationships with the distributors and some customers in the assigned territory. Responsible for market execution in the territory in Traditional Trade and Modern Trade.
  • Maximize the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the establishment and appropriate execution of local and national sales programs.
  • Train and coach the distributor/ bottlers sales force to engage them with the Monster brand and objectives.
  • Ensure the execution of national and regional account strategies for all company products and achieve sales, profit and market share objectives for all national and regional accounts and/or programs.
  • Monitor market/retailer activity to develop the most cost-effective strategies in order to drive volume and profitability through increased penetration and promotion.
  • Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships to drive improved performance. Develop and use objective tools, information and feedback in order to establish region and area performance goals and results.
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributors/Bottlers in order to track, monitor and adjust efforts and produce desired outcomes in all key business segments.
  • Work closely with National Sales and Regional Account Management Teams to understand and communicate customer programs and activities that impact their respective market.
Whoyou are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Administration or related field
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in sales
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in retail, wholesaler or distributor sales environment
  • Computer Skills Desired: Advance user of Microsoft Office

Monster Energy provides competitive total compensation. The estimated annual salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Pay Range

$40,000 - $43,000 USD
