Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Underwriter in Trade Credit to manage relationships with brokers and clients while underwriting submissions and setting credit terms. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, risk assessment, and portfolio growth.

Qualifications

Background in credit or financial analysis and strong commercial development skills.
1-4 years of underwriting experience preferred.
Experience in trade credit, finance, or banking preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Cap IQ, Salesforce.
Higher education in business/finance required; MBA preferred.
Second language proficiency valued.

Responsibilities

Develop relationships with brokers and clients to grow the portfolio in trade credit insurance.
Underwrite new and renewal submissions; negotiate policy terms and conditions.
Analyze domestic and international corporate credits and recommend credit limits and terms.
Maintain and service an existing trade credit portfolio.
Market, sell, and present to brokers and insureds to increase submissions.
Engage in underwriting and marketing projects to improve company results.
Mentor fellow underwriters; contribute to revenue targets and audits.
Meet operating and audit guidelines; support senior management goals.
Participate in special projects as required by the profit center.
Collaborate with distribution colleagues to identify and close trade credit opportunities.
Some travel may be required.
