Kuraray America, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support our U.S. trade compliance program with a focus on import and export activities. This hybrid role requires collaboration across functions and cross-border operations.

You will oversee day-to-day compliance, work with customs brokers and agencies, and drive process improvements while educating teams on regulations and best practices.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in import, export, trade compliance, customs brokerage, logistics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. trade regulations and compliance requirements (customs, export controls, documentation).
• Experience with customs brokers, government agencies, and ACE or similar systems.
• Ability to assess risk, solve complex problems, and implement practical solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service, Operations, and external partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

• Lead the trade compliance activities across multiple business units.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate into practical guidance and actions.
• Partner with Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in trade processes.
• Provide training and foster a culture of compliance and accountability across the enterprise.
