Job summary

FOX Factory, Inc. is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate import/export data and maintain compliant records. This role reports to the Manager of Trade Compliance and can be based in El Cajon, CA or Gainesville, GA, with on-site work in US facilities.

The candidate should have associate degree or equivalent in Business/Supply Chain, at least 2 years in Trade Compliance, and strong Excel skills. Travel to FTZ locations may be required.

• Knowledge of practical regulations & application.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Knowledge of harmonized tariff codes.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible ensuring an optimal flow of merchandise in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate must be aware of all aspects of importing and exporting goods from the U.S. This position reports to the Manager - Trade Compliance. This role is eligible to be based out of the following US locations; El Cajon, CA, or Gainesville, GA.Position Responsibilities:The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for our shipping operations, ensuring an optimal flow of merchandise in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsServe as internal import/export expertPerform daily compliance screenings against OFAC sanctionsIdentify, reconcile, and resolve any issues in a prompt and timely mannerReview shipments to determine and advise relevant partners as to USMCA status of goods containedMaintain records required for trade compliance in keeping with internal policies and applicable laws and regulationsAssign and audit material classifications; Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule BFollow-up and resolve messages for filings with CBPIdentify issues and continuous improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with the appropriate departments to resolve issues and address opportunitiesPartner with the Senior Manager Compliance to ensure procedures and SOPs are current and accurately reflect the business operations and practicesAssist with preparation and filing of annual reports, reconciliation reports, and certification lettersParticipate in continuing education related to international trade, and governmental regulations that may affect the import and export operations of Fox FactorySpecific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:Experience using Oracle or comparable ERP solutionKnowledge of practical regulations & applicationStrong attention to detail and data entry accuracyKnowledge of harmonized tariff codesStrong analytical and organizational skillsPosition Qualifications:Education:Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experienceTwo (2) or more years’ experience in Trade Compliance or International Supply Chain and LogisticsExperience:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel requiredWillingness and ability to travel to FTZ locations as neededExposure working with customs brokersExperience working with US Customs and Border ProtectionExperience with Import and Export processesWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Disclaimer : This list does not represent all physical demands.
