Job summary

ABB E-mobility in Corbin, KY seeks an experienced Trade Compliance lead for Europe. You will interface with local management, authorities, and global trade teams to ensure export control, sanctions, classification and origin compliance across the value chain.

You’ll manage license processes, SAP GTS block releases, and embed governance with cross-functional partners. The role requires 5+ years in multinational trade compliance, strong English and local language skills, and hands-on SAP GTS

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade or related field
• 5+ years of customs and trade compliance experience in a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of export control, customs regulations and end-to-end supply chain processes
• Hands-on experience with trade compliance systems (SAP GTS)
• Ability to advise management and engage with authorities
• Strong ownership, business mindset and ability to operate in a matrix organisation

• Lead trade compliance for Europe, interfacing with local management, authorities and global trade teams
• Ensure compliance with customs, sanctions, export control, classification, valuation and country-of-origin requirements
• Manage export license processes and SAP GTS block releases
• Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, IS and local business teams to embed compliance into daily operations
• Govern product classification (by PCE), trade master data, supplier qualifications, use of SAP GTS and related trade systems
• Monitor trade compliance risks, run internal reviews and drive corrective actions
• Manage trade records, authorisations, permits and audit readiness
• Build trade compliance awareness through training, guidance and regular communication
• Drive development of local Trade Compliance network including Local Business Line TCOs

Your Responsibilities

• Lead trade compliance for Europe, acting as the main interface with local management, authorities and global trade teams


• Ensure compliance with customs, sanctions, export control, classification, valuation and country-of-origin requirements


• Manage export license processes and SAP GTS block releases, ensuring proper governance and segregation of duties


• Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, IS and local business teams to embed compliance into daily operations


• Ensure proper governance for product classification (conducted by dedicated PCE), trade master data, supplier qualifications, use of SAP GTS and related trade systems


• Monitor trade compliance risks, run internal reviews and drive corrective actions


• Manage trade records, authorisations, permits and audit readiness


• Build trade compliance awareness through training, guidance and regular communication


• Drive the development of the local Trade Compliance network, including Local Business Line TCOs

Your Background

• Degree in Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade or a related field


• 5+ years of customs and trade compliance experience in a multinational environment, ideally in an industrial one


• Strong knowledge of export control, customs regulations and end-to-end supply chain processes


• Hands-on experience with trade compliance systems, preferably SAP GTSSeniority and confidence to advise management and engage with authoritiesStrong ownership, business mindset and ability to operate in a matrix organisationClear communication skills in English and the relevant local languageAbility to train, influence and guide business teams on trade compliance topicsKnowledge of power electronics, software or related technologiesExperience supporting fast-growing or transforming organisations

• Minimum annual gross salary: 45.000,00 €


• Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus or Individual Variable Pay
