Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a Director of International Trade Compliance to lead export and import compliance across Aerospace & Defense Electronics and Engineered Systems. You will build proactive programs, supervise staff across multiple countries, and collaborate with the CITC Office to ensure policy and regulatory adherence.

The role requires a senior leader with deep regulatory knowledge, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to process implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Law, or International Trade is required.
• At least 10 years of domestic and international trade compliance experience (e.g., ITAR, EAR, Customs).
• Experience with UK and other countries’ export and import laws and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in training, mentoring and managing staff.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with engineering, program management, supply chain and regulatory staff.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage trade compliance programs per laws and Teledyne policies.
• Develop policies and work instructions with business functions.
• Maintain trade compliance systems and drive process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
• Supervise trade compliance staff and allocate workloads.
• Oversee export classification, licensing, technology transfers, and customs processes.
• Coordinate with the CITC Office and government agencies on inquiries and investigations.
• Lead internal training and periodic self-assessments for compliance.
• Support acquisitions due diligence and integration activities.
