Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a Director of International Trade Compliance to lead and optimize export/import compliance programs across Aerospace & Defense Electronics and Engineered Systems. You will build proactive programs, collaborate with Business Units, and report to the Chief Trade Compliance Counsel in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Commerce, Business, Law, or International Trade.
• 10+ years of domestic and international trade compliance experience (ITAR, EAR, Customs).
• Experience with UK and other national export/import laws and regulations.
• Strong leadership, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in training, mentoring and managing staff.
• Ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage trade compliance programs across Teledyne.
• Develop policies, procedures, and work instructions with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain trade compliance management systems and process improvements.
• Supervise and assess Trade Compliance staff performance.
• Handle export/import classifications, licensing, and declarations.
• Coordinate with government regulators and respond to inquiries.
• Conduct self-assessments and track improvements.
• Provide training for functional units; support audits.
• Assist with due diligence and acquisitions.
• Stay current on customs laws and Free Trade Agreements.
