Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Export Control Classification Professional for a 6-month contract in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on HTSUS classifications, interpreting customs regulations, and supporting cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, procurement and compliance.

The ideal candidate will analyze technical product information for accurate tariff classifications with strong attention to detail and proven communication skills.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Export Control Classification Professional for a 6-month contract with a client in Orlando, FL.
Title: Export Control Classification Professional
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay Range: $30-$34/hr. On W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of HTSUS classification principles and methodologies.
  • Experience interpreting customs regulations, CBP rulings, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze technical product information and determine accurate tariff classifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in trade compliance, supply chain, procurement, and engineering environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple classification requests while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting customs audits and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with classification governance, process improvement, and quality assurance activities.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or global trade environments.
