Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Trade Compliance Consultant to support our client’s Customs and Trade Compliance team. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of trade data across ACE, broker platforms, and internal apps.

You will assist with post-entry audits, tariff refund initiatives, trade reporting, and data quality improvement while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure U.S. Customs compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and charts.
• Experience with Power BI for data analysis and dashboards.
• Background in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or import/export operations.
• Familiarity with ACE or similar trade platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the accuracy and integrity of customs and trade data across ACE, broker systems, and internal platforms.
• Serve as a data steward by identifying opportunities to improve data quality and compliance.
• Validate importer information, duty amounts, tariff classifications, and documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and brokers.
• Support post-entry audits by reviewing a percentage of import entries for compliance.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of customs and trade data across multiple systems, including ACE, customs broker platforms, and internal business applications.
