Job summary

Dart-Safety-Lane in Dayton, OH is seeking a fleet mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

You will perform electrical and air brake work, document repairs, clock on repairs, and ensure DOT and company standards are met while providing excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• 2-5 years of mechanic experience on heavy-duty trucks.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, repair and maintenance of fleet including electrical and brakes
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs.
• Diagnosing, repairing, or replacing electrical and air systems on trailers; body and rail repairs.
• Write itemized "story" to summarize each repair performed.
• Follow all DOT, State & Federal requirements and company standards.
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic needed
• Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team and company
• Properly clocks on and off applicable repair orders and repair segments.
