Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on a fleet of 48ft and 53ft dry van trailers. The role includes preventative maintenance, welding, and service calls, with emphasis on safety and quality repairs.
Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing suspension, wheels, brakes, electrical and structural components, and ensuring documentation in EMS. CDL may be required for certain tasks, with emphasis on a professional, safety-conscious work
Salary: $31.25 - $35.25/hour
Trailer Mechanics are to perform maintenance service in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measured standards for Dayton Freight Lines.
This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment. Duties may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools, with work performed independently or in team settings as appropriate. * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
