Job summary

Walmart in Sutherland, VA is seeking a maintenance technician to complete inspections, repairs and replacements on Walmart equipment including tractors, trailers and shop equipment.

You will create work orders, diagnose with technical equipment, identify parts, and select best solutions while ensuring DOT compliance and accurate records.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, repairs and replacements following Walmart guidelines.
• Create and process work orders; diagnose with technical equipment on tractors and trailers.
• Identify parts, propose solutions and execute the best repair option.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and warranty documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
