Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sutherland, VA to perform inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers and yard trucks. You will create work orders, run diagnostics, and ensure safety and DOT compliance while delivering reliable service to store operations.

Qualifications

2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
Valid state-issued driver's license.
Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections, repairs and replacements on Walmart equipment following company guidelines.
Creates and processes work orders and conducts minor diagnostics with technical equipment.
Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling, ensuring safety and procedure compliance.
Identifies and processes warrantable repairs by documenting condition, cause and correction; manages warranty claims.
