Job summary

ADM in Decatur, IL is hiring a Service Mechanic to maintain tractors and trailers on a full-time, hourly basis for 2nd or 3rd shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, brake and A/C work, tire mounting/dismounting, inspections, and component repairs to ensure vehicle readiness.

Candidates must meet safety, attendance, communication, teamwork, and task-following requirements and pass required tests. A background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers
• Certification of performing A/C freon recovery and recharging, perform repairs on A/C
• Perform brake repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
• Mount and dismount tires
• Perform diagnostics with laptop computer
• Component replacement starters, alternators, and batteries
• Cosmetic repairs, decals, reflective tape, fenders, and bumpers
• Pressure test hydraulic systems and hose replacement
• Perform Annual DOT inspections on tractors and trailers
• Rebuild components
