Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Diesel/Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain semi-truck tractors and trailers, including brakes, tires, electrical systems, and basic structural work. You will work from a service truck and must comply with DOT and safety standards while documenting all maintenance in the system.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with diesel engines, air and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic inspections (trailers).
• Ensure equipment meets FHWA standards.
• Operate yard hostler to move trailers as needed.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA and environmental safety policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Use welding equipment.
