Job summary

Walmart is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, and replace tractor, trailer, and yard equipment at our Ottawa, KS facility. You will create and process work orders, perform diagnostics, and ensure safety and DOT compliance while coordinating with customers and team members.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years’ experience in tractor/trailer maintenance or a technical school degree, a valid driver’s license, and related certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair.
• Technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake and vehicle inspection qualifications per FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment following guidelines.
• Create and process work orders; diagnose using technical equipment.
• Identify improvement opportunities and address maintenance needs.
• Communicate progress to customers, associates, and management.
