Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons, a long‑standing private family business serving the mid‑Atlantic, is seeking reliable Class A CDL Drivers for the Souderton, PA area. You will operate tractors and tankers, comply with DOT regulations, and ensure safe, efficient service on daily routes while maintaining logs and records.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, weight tickets, load coordination with the operations manager, and immediate reporting of any incidents or maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Valid PA Commercial Driver’s License Class A.
• Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements.
• Must pass substance abuse screening.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor trailer in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
• Safely operate the tractor and tanker on daily routes and special orders.
• Obtain load weight tickets and maintain related records (log, route sheets, etc.).
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and communicate any safety concerns to supervision.
• Respond to accidents or violations per policy and assist as needed.

If you have any of the following conditions or disabilities, we encourage you to reach out to the Human Resources Department to determine if this role is a fit for you.Seizure disorder(s)Certain Sleep Disorders, such as NarcolepsyContact the Human Resources Department if you wish to request an accommodation or further discuss the above restrictions.***What You Will Do:Operate a tractor trailer in accordance with DOT Regulations, Company policy, and in accordance with established standards for excellent customer service on established daily route sheets, special orders, and regular work ordersResponsible for the safe and efficient operation of the tractor and tanker.Transports and offloads leachate at a regulated wastewater treatment plantsCoordinates regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure all loads are completed as well as communicate any questionable materials and special instructionsObtain load weight tickets and sign for loads and maintains any related records required, i.e. driver’s log, route sheets, work orders, special request work, etc.Cleans truck daily to ensure the vehicle meets company expectations, inclusive but not limited to the cabPerforms daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as outlined in the pre and post trip vehicle condition reportReports any maintenance issues on the vehicle condition report and reports it immediately to the route supervisor or operations managerImmediately reports to the company and accident, traffic violation, or license suspensionAs well as other duties as assigned or described in the job description for this roleYou Have:A valid PA Commercial Driver’s License CDL Class AMust meet all required DOT physical and medical requirements and pass a substance abuse screening.As a safety sensitive employee, all drivers are subject to random substance abuse screening under DOT and company policy.Ability to effectively deal with customers and co-workers.Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle to prevent damage to truck, equipment, or surrounding items.Ability to sit in the cab of the truck for long periods.
