J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Mississippi's New Byram area seeks a Tractor Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment under routine supervision.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure units meet company specifications. The role may involve outdoor work, varied shifts, including nights and weekends, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with 1–2 years in semi-tractor maintenance/repair or military equivalent.
• A/C Certification; experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes preferred.
• Basic tools must be supplied by employee; toolbox program available in many locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure units meet JB Hunt specifications.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines.
• Mentor Tractor Technician trainees when needed.
