Job summary

Air Education and Training Command at Lackland AFB (Gateway Hills Golf Course) is seeking a flexible, non-appropriated fund position requiring the capability to operate field-type tractors and related equipment. Work hours vary, up to 40 hours weekly, with some weeks guaranteed and others scheduled as needed.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing.

Job description

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Gateway Hills Golf course on Lackland Airforce Base. This is a flexible position with guaranteed 00 hours per week. May work up to 40 hours per week. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible category position are not eligible for benefits. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, reach and climb.

Qualifying Experience

Must have the experience in operating and performing maintenance on field-type tractors and associated equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

1. Ability to manipulate both tractor and equipment controls at the same time.
2. Knowledge of equipment to make connections on mechanical drive shafts and hydraulic lines.
3. Skill to manipulate equipment over different types of terrain.
4. Knowledge of and skill in operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of more than 10,000 and up to 26,000 pounds.
