Job summary

The Davey Tree Surgery Company is seeking an Equipment Operator to support Utility Line Clearance projects in Melrose, FL and surrounding locations. You will operate tractor and mobile equipment, and ensure crew and equipment safety on utility right-of-way.

We value a minimum of two years of mobile equipment experience, plus a CDL Class B is highly valuable. Training and certification tests may be required as part of the role, with opportunities for advancement and full company benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mobile equipment operation experience required.
• Experience in Utility Line Clearance and Tree Removal preferred.
• Must pass a mobile equipment operations certification test.
• CDL Class B with air brakes highly valuable.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Davey Tree Surgery Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as an Equipment Operator.

Duties

• Position involves operating Tractor & mobile equipment on utility right-of-way
• Responsible for equipment and crew safety when removing trees on utility right-of-way
• Assist in all job functions as a member of the crew

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of two (2) years mobile equipment operating experience and training which provides the necessary operations skills, knowledge and abilities is required
• Experience in Utility Line Clearance and Tree Removal is preferred
• Be capable of successfully passing a mobile equipment operations certification test
• CDL Class B w/air brakes highly valuable
