Abilene Machine is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Disassembly Mechanic in Solomon, KS. You will dismantle tractors, combines, planters, and other equipment for parts and recycling, contributing to a fast-paced, quality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with agricultural equipment, diesel mechanics, automotive repair, or heavy equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment.
• Comfortable using common shop tools and equipment.
• Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Someone who takes pride in doing quality work the right way.

Responsibilities

• Safely disassemble agricultural machinery and components.
• Remove engines, transmissions, hydraulics, axles, and other major assemblies.
• Identify, inspect, and organize reusable parts.
• Mark, label, and inventory all parts before they leave the disassembly area.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and lifting equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with teammates to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Take ownership of your work and help ensure every part is processed accurately.
