Job summary

Resource Transport LLC is seeking a Tractor Cleaner to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness and sanitation of our tractors. Responsibilities include cleaning cabs and cargo areas, washing windows, vacuuming interiors, and disposing of waste properly.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and good English language skills. This position is non-exempt and based at the Odessa yard, with a 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial duties preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize the tractor’s cab and cargo areas.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces for visibility and safety.
  • Vacuum and wipe down interiors to keep cabs clean.
  • Empty and clean waste bins inside vehicles, disposing of trash properly.
  • Wipe down exterior surfaces when needed to maintain vehicle appearance.
  • Document and report any damage, stains, or issues observed during cleaning to the Service Writer.
  • Keep Odessa Yard trash and recycling areas clean and organized.
  • Identify supply needs to avoid running out of essential items.
  • Log time and detailed records in Fleetio Work Orders.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial duties is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and inclement weather.
  • Able to wear proper PPE including but not limited to steel‑toed boots, hard hat/bump cap, safety glasses, and appropriate gloves when necessary.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to climb ladders, stairs and equipment
  • Be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch while performing a hand task.
  • Be able to pull, push, and lift 50 pounds.

Schedule:
