Job summary

Resource Transport LLC is seeking a Tractor Cleaner to maintain cleanliness of tractors at our Odessa yard. Responsibilities include interior/exterior cleaning, sanitation, waste management, and reporting any issues to the Service Writer.

The role requires independent work, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. The position operates on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation with 12-hour shifts, non-exempt status, and reports to the Manager, Fleet (Permian).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cleaning/janitorial is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize tractor cab and cargo areas.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces for visibility and safety.
• Vacuum and wipe interiors to remove dirt and debris.
• Empty and clean waste bins; dispose of trash properly.
• Wipe exterior surfaces as needed to maintain vehicle appearance.
• Document and report damage or issues to the Service Writer.
• Keep Odessa Yard trash and recycling areas tidy.
• Identify supply needs to prevent stockouts.
• Log time and records in Fleetio Work Orders.

The Tractor Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness and sanitation of Resource Transport tractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize the tractor’s cab and cargo areas.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to ensure visibility and safety.
• Vacuum and wipe down interiors to keep cabs free of dirt, dust, and debris.
• Empty and clean waste bins inside vehicles, disposing of trash properly.
• When necessary, wipe down exterior surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and methods to maintain vehicle appearance.
• Document and report any damage, stains, or issues observed during cleaning to the Service Writer.
• Keep trash and recycling areas at the Odessa Yard clean and organized.
• Be proactive in identifying supply needs to avoid running out of essential items.
• Log time and detailed records in assigned Fleetio Work Orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial duties is preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and inclement weather.
• Able to wear proper PPE including but not limited to steel-toed boots, hard hat/bump cap, safety glasses, and appropriate gloves when necessary.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Be able to climb ladders, stairs and equipment
• Be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch while performing a hand task.
• Be able to pull, push, and lift 50 pounds.
• Dedication and commitment to teamwork and common goals.
• Ability to follow proper protocol for incident reporting and emergency situations.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of clients and industry.

Schedule: 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, 12-hour shifts

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
