Job summary

ASRC Federal Data Networks Corporation (DNC) is seeking a Software Requirements Engineer to support the NOAA TraCSS project in Suitland, MD. The role involves collaborating with government stakeholders to develop, maintain, track, and close TraCSS requirements, spanning system-level, government-owned, and contractor sources.

You'll implement a robust requirements management process within SAFe, maintain traceability, support PI planning, and help translate high-level needs into actionable Epics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related technical field.
• 5–7 years of professional systems engineering experience with emphasis on requirements development.
• Proficiency with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence for tracking requirements and risks.
• US citizenship required and ability to pass NOAA background screening and NDA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain TraCSS Requirements Management Plan with a RACI across multiple vendors.
• Maintain requirements traceability and link to artifacts, work products, and higher-level program needs.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements for Epics/Stories and backlog items.
• Support PI planning; map artifacts to requirements for verification and traceability.
• Collaborate with the TraCSS Systems Engineer and Product Owners to refine backlog and resolve defects.
